8'0" Franes cut out...
So - after pasting the frames down we do the old rough out with a jig saw. Then we do a cut out with the scroll saw and then finally smooth everything out with my microplane hand plane. ;)
Here is the 12 frame and center spar -- also above them is the sides to this contraption. This board is going to be a solid rail board using balsa rails...

Shaped and glassed!
After gluing up the deck, the next part is to clean up the planks and shape the blank.
So with much planer work I have this:
I also decided to put a tail block on:
And blended it in:
After it was all blended in and smoothed/shaped out, it was time to lay down some glass. The schedule for this board is 1 x 4oz S glass bottom with cutlaps and 2 x 4oz S glass deck with cutlaps.
So here it is glassed:
Finally, today I installed the fin boxes. They are probox boxes in a quad setup:
Next step is to put the leash plug in and sand. Then I have a vent plug that I am going to install. The board is nearly done! :)
